Social Media

Facebook was one of the first social medias to boom off all around the world. Facebook, just like any other social media, has its good and bad side to it. However, for the most part facebook is mostly used to communicate with friends, or family members either near you or on the other side of the world. Like myself, I have used facebook in the past to communicate with my family members that are in Puerto Rico. Even though you can post pictures and videos, it is more for communicating rather than competing with anyone unlike Instagram. It has lost many of its users because of Instagrams success. However, many users still use facebook on a daily.

US Central Command gets Twitter hacked!
A group naming itself "CyberCaliphate" hacked the official Youtube and Twitter account of the US Central Command last week, and began posting messages supporting the jihadist group Islamic state, also known as ISIS. The hackers were able to find military information on these accounts, and the shared it on Youtube and Twitter. Just in case you didn't know the ISIS group execute people from Iraq. This is the downfall to social media. Almost every site can be hacked, and put others in danger.
Boosting your career with Instagram
Justin Love is a singer, whom writes his own songs. I know about Justin because he was on my news feed on Instagram. He uses Instagram to the best of his ability to get known for his music, and be heard all around the world. It is a way to demonstrate his talent, and receive feedback. It is also a way for him to get to know the right people, in order to further enhance his music career. Instagram as well as other social medias, give Justin a chance to do so. Therefore he will gain fans, and continue to work hard to reach his dreams. And this is one story out of many! Check out his Instagram( _isinghiphop)

Instagrams Ugly Truth
More than any other form of social media, Instagram seems specifically about comparison—an endless competition of whose life is better. How can anyone ever be truly satisfied when, right there in your phone, there's an endless stream of evidence that millions of people are having more fun, and are wealthier, skinnier, and more in love than you are? You instantly feel insecure, especially when we look at our own newsfeed more than others. (Don't deny it) The ugly truth is that, most of the people that have Instagram it increases their insecurity, to the point that they live off the likes, and comments of others. They eventually become depressed, or suicidal. All because of an app that's running all around the world. Can these people be brave enough to delete their account?
